What is Apache Doris?

Apache Doris is an open-source, SQL-based MPP analytical data warehouse. Originating from Baidu and previously known as Palo, it is designed to support online analytical processing (OLAP) workloads. Doris combines elements from Google Mesa and Apache Impala. It offers a simple architecture, ensuring high availability, reliability, fault tolerance, and scalability. With features like columnar storage, vectorization, and ANSI SQL, Doris can handle multidimensional reporting, ad-hoc queries, and real-time dashboards. Integration is made easy with connectors for various big data ecosystems.
